All goats are sold
disbudded. If you want horns on your kids (I strongly
suggest against it) you must notify me before I disbud my kids
at about a week of age and be prepared to take the kid at two
weeks of age and raise it yourself.
All kids are treated for
coccidiosis and will be fecal tested and checked for anemia
before leaving for their new home. They will also be
wormed if needed. Vaccines are not given until the kid
is past weaning age, you should talk to me about vaccinations
if you want your kid vaccinated and review my vaccination
information on my Care Program page. I do give my
younger kids BoSe and copper boluses so you should confirm
with me when that was done before you give them more shots at
your farm so as not to overdose them. Weaned kids are
usually sold after their first hoof trimming.
Older animals will be
checked for anemia before they leave my farm. I keep my
does wormed regularly during the worm season, they will only
be wormed before moving to your farm if they show signs of
having a worm load. They will have had their feet
trimmed at some point before moving. If you buy an
animal from me in the fall, they have probably be deloused but
it would be a good idea to delouse them again in a few months.
Make sure you check with me and get vaccination information
for that doe as well as copper bolus and BoSe supplementation
dates so that you don't over supplement them with your own
program.
All milking does and
younger kids will be sent to their new home with a generous
supply of my grain so that you can slowly mix the feed with
your feed (I use a custom mix that is not commercially
available). Dry older does and older bucks are not
usually sold with grain for you to mix, they can be slowly put
on new grain with no ill effects.
DOE KIDS: Should you look at my breeding chart and want a doe kid out of a specific breeding, you will be put in first come, first serve order for that doe's kid. Simply let me know which doe you would want a kid out of and I honor your request if at all possible. In this case I won't take a deposit until the kid is born and I have decided to sell it. Once a particular doe kid is up for sale, if you decide you want it be prepared to send me a $50 non-refundable deposit right away or first come first takes her home. REGISTERED BUCK KIDS: Buck kids need to be reserved before they are born. I usually have buck kids available in the spring only, rarely in the fall. Price for buck kids varies, if I am expecting kids I'll put prices on a breeding chart lower down on this page. $50 non-refundable deposit required to hold a buck kid. I sometimes dam raise buck kids so if you want one out of a particular doe you would be best to contact me before the doe kids and be prepared to send a deposit upon the birth of the particular buck kid. I sell them weaned or you bottle feed. If you are willing to bottle feed them you will receive a greatly discounted price, especially if you pick him up within the first two weeks of age UNREGISTERED BUCK KIDS: Buck kids need to be reserved before they are born. I sell UNregistered bucks upon request if available, weaned or you bottle feed. Price for UNregistered bucks is $30 if picked up within one week of age (you bottle feed) and $100 if picked up after weaning but NO LATER THAN fourteen weeks of age. Keep an eye on the breeding chart and email me if you see a doe is due soon and you want a buck kid out of that and be prepared to send payment in full for the kid of your choice upon notification that the male is available. KID WETHERS: Wethers need to be reserved before they are born. I sell castrated wethers upon request (if available), weaned or you bottle feed. I always have wethers available during spring kidding season and in the fall on rare occasion. You have to move quickly if you want one because I always try to get rid of the males quickly. Price for wethers is $25 if picked up within one week of age (you bottle feed) and $75 if purchased after weaning. Kid must be picked up no later than fourteen weeks of age. |

PERSONAL DELIVERY - I am willing to drive up to 300 miles away @ .55 cents per mile calculated one way. GROUND SHIPPING through approved livestock carriers AIR SHIPPING through approved airlines (small kids only) VERY IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT PICKING UP OR TAKING DELIVERY OF YOUR GOAT: Once you decide which kid(s), doe or buck you want and you send me a deposit at the proper time, be prepared at that time to set a date with me for pickup or delivery. Whether we agree upon a date two days later or two weeks later, if you don't pick up your kids by the agreed upon date you will be charged boarding fees of $5.00 per goat per week. Once the boarding fees exceed the amount of the deposit you paid, you will forfeit your deposit and the animal will go back up for sale. NO EXCEPTIONS One doe kid out of Duchess and Austin.
